new wheels on the USP Avant!!..

i got wheels this wknd.. they are Moven SP10 (Sportec Mono 10 reps).. they are 18 x 8.5 with an offset of 38..

they were black when i bought them, so i figured i would try it.. but i dont like it.. they need re-finished anyway, so i will do them silver..

i also need to lower the car a bit (still factory sport suspension) and replace the ugly Moven center caps, but this is what it looks like now..




KevinL's avant is the vision -- i would like this drop, color, and center cap
set up (they are the same wheels, but look MUCH better on this avant)..

red and black is the best combo, lower the car, blackout the grilles and get a vinyl black roof wrap and smoke the tails a touch and then post pics and ur set.

KEEP THEM BLACK!! Black on red is an amazing color combo, and your avant looks extremely sexy with those wheels. Silver looks so plain and boring. But i know you'll probably refinish them anyway since you don't like the black look. So i'm gonna save some of those pics on my computer just so i can reminisce about the beauty that once was.

i knew a lot of people would like them black, that is a big reason why i put them on without refinishing them 1st.. plus i dont really have time right now to do it, so i figured i would try it out..
the black is growing on me, but i think the wheel just gets lost.. i prefer at least some contrast between the wheel well, the tire and the wheel..

there is a guy i know out here in CA that can strip all 4 wheels for $50 and powdercoat the set for $150.. but then i also have to dismount/remount for ~$80.. not bad, but i'll have to see how the finances work out.. and finalize a color, maybe a light anthracite would better than silver??..
