Replaced outer CV boots a few months ago... now clicking while turning?

I had Aaron (poopie) replace my outer cv boots on the front a few months ago but I just noticed a clicking noise while turning (more audible at parking lot speeds, obviously). They were replaced as a precautionary measure while some the control arms were being replaced.

What would cause them to make noise so soon? There's no grease flung up in the wheel/wheel well area... it's not as though the boots were torn and the cv joint was bad and we just slapped new boots on there

I'm lowered on koni coilovers, but only about an inch lower than the stock sport suspension, so it's not like the suspension is stressed because of poor geometry... ideas? Part of me thinks it's the control arms/tie rod ends

Sometimes you get a clicking sound in turns from an upper control arm bushing that has failed. That's the problem with my car. I also hear a clunk every now & then after applying brakes or shifting from 1st to 2nd gear.

I have that clunk too but I've done every engine/drivetrain mount except for the engine mounts themselves. I don't see any blue/purple liquid coming out of them so I don't think that they're leaking

I doubt I'll even have time to look at it now that I'm so busy with work and school again... but yeah, if you're in the area and are feeling ambitious you're more than welcome to stop by. I'm actually in Bethlehem

are you sure its the cd joint or maybe your tire catching on chewed up fender liner? Though I wouldn't be surprised if the joint went bad since it happens to everyone.

Jack each side up. Shine a flashlight on each control arm connection. The rubber bearing broke on my control arm. This is not the ball joint side so it doesn't leak any grease.

My car's not that low and the fender liner and screws are all still intact I catch the fenders on occasion if I'm pulling into a steep driveway but it pulls the fender out at all goofy angles so I have to whip out the 'ole trusty Eastwood fender roller
