    so how do you tell if an ecu will match your cluster...I've got a 2000 1.8T w/ ecu code 4B0 997 020 AX and I'm looking to buy an APR tuned ECU w/the code 4B0 906 018 BG...will this work?

    I would call APR. Usually ECU numbers should match. In some cases, for example, a 337 gti, 20th AE gti, and 1.8t gti can share ecu's with some adaptation.

    right on, I called APR and the guy told me that it didn't match how difficult are they to adapt to another vehicle?
