Wipers Dont Turn Off..??

So i just got back from vacationing in FLorida. While on vacaton i had some work done to me audi. Repaint front end and replace windshield, thermostat & tierod ends.

Now, i go to do a quik wipe of the windshield (pushing down on the stalk) and now my wipers dont STOP. if i try to change the speed of the wipers, they dont change, they just stay at a constant speed. .

at times it seems as if the wipers are trying to stop but they just dont.

Any ideas???

Stalk switch gone bad?

Then again, perhaps a mis-wire or other problem caused by the work done.
