I don't know if you guys heard, but Cam Wooley is now a full time member of CP24. To my understanding, he doesn't work for the OPP anymore. I guess he liked the high profile life of local Toronto television! FAIL!

What about those kids yesterday? I was heading back at that time and just got past Mt. St. Louis and everything stops! To my understanding they had to swerve to avoid someone, but no seatbelts?!!! I say they get what they deserve.......

He's the OPP dude who's been working with CityTV/CP24 on all the highway/traffic blitzes that the OPP does. He's actually kind of annoying. He's also been a judge on "Canada's Worst Driver"............

I love that guy when he does his blitz reports... most memorable is when they pulled over a woman who flew by his marked car going south on the 400...

When he asked her why she sped by a police marked car she answered:

"I have better things to do than worry about police on the roads"

there was an SUV with 5 kids in it ranging from 18-23. They were heading north on the 400 and (maybe) had to swerve to avoid being cut off. They flipped over the guard rail and none of them were wearing seat belts. They were all ejected from the vehicle and one kid is cutting it close.

Haven't heard anything else since......

A 19-year-old Toronto man is dead and his 17-year-old friend is fighting for his life after a major crash on Highway 400 in Barrie that snarled traffic Sunday afternoon.

Police say a Toyota 4Runner travelling southbound on the 400 lost control, flipped and rolled over to the northbound lanes. Witnesses tell police that the SUV may have been cut-off by another vehicle.

There were five males in the vehicle, police say.

None of the occupants were wearing seatbelts and all were thrown from the vehicle, investigators say.

Two seriously hurt victims were airlifted to a Barrie hospital and then transferred to Sunnybrook Hospital and St. Michael's Hospital.

The 19-year-old died early this morning at Sunnybrook and his friend is in critical condition with severe head injuries.

The three other men have been released from hospital. Police say speed and alcohol are not considered factors in the crash.

Lane closures affected both northbound and southbound traffic.
