someone needs to help me before i burn this thing to the ground!

ok as some of you may have seen in my previous posts ive been having some trouble since installing mt gt2871r eliminator a couple weeks ago. My throttle body would not adapt with the new ecu and new setup. During adaption if i held the metal piece on the side of the throttle body that moved during adaption and kept it from moving it would adapt, but as soon as i hit the gas it would get an error and not adapt again. Im throwing a throttle control code saying its the fault in basic settings but to matter what i do it wont adapt. When i put my ko4 ecu back in it adapted rite away but i dont know if that was just a coincidence. Im hoping my throttle body shit the bed and not the ecu which i just payed $800 for! Any insight would be awesome!!!!

My TB took a shit on me when I chipped my car as well :) Hopefully that's all it is :D

well your word are encouraging, but it worked when i out the ko4 ecu back in so i cant figure it out. THIS SUCKS!

What tune did you go with? Mika or Uni?

It could be the tune?!?! Try swapping out your TB with someone elses or try another tune.

same issue with my CTapp tune...
it seems that everytime i try to adapt the TB.. i get a DTC for "error in basic..."

i was at one point able to adapt after taking it apart and cleaning the connections and the trac inside...

But shortly after, im not able to adapt again.
I havent tried to adapt for months now.. car runs fine, no problem at all.
It seems like a software issue.. but ill let you know as soon as i get my upgraded TB.

Let me know if you find anything out about this issue!

Mine did the same thing... When I put the stock ECU back in, it would adapt and run, but the new ECU wouldn't... Changed the TB and it worked fine, with both ECU's
