Looking for walkthrough on AHA head removal...

I have a C5 A6, AHA engine. The timing belt busted, and the cams are frozen in position. I know both heads have to come off. Does anyone know where I can find a walkthrough for this? I have looked on this forum and Audiworld, and have a assive page of A6 links, but none of them really discusses recovery from this disaster. Any suggestions are appreciated.

You will have to remove the serpentine belt first. Then you will need to remove the timing belt. The last step is removing the heads from the block.

I didn't think you needed steps to remove the serpentine belt.

Here's the timing belt PDF: Timing R&I

    Here's the head removal/install PDF: Heads R&I

Based on the failure type you have there, you will need a machine shop to inspect the heads and valves for damage. Also don't be surprised if any pistons are dinged up from valve collisions.

    Good luck.

    Ironic..

I apologize for not mentioning this, but I have been using this walkthrough. I am little concerned because the Bentley does not have anything listed with regard to how to remove the intake manfold. Is it just a bolt-on item? I know it will need a new gasket (also not listed in the Bentley- and I searched for "intake manifold"!)
I am also a little leery of that walkthrough because it doesn't even mention removing valve covers- I have done all except for about 6 or 8 steps, which are primarily unbolting the pipe from the EM, unhooking the accelerator cable, and clearing a few wires. I don't see any of the 8 head bolts on either side. Obviously, they are under the valve covers... but what else am I missing? I don't want to break anything during head removal just because Bentley forgot to mention it.
