Until a slight exhaust leak became louder then mil then no power on the way into work one day. Got the car up on the lift and found the entire t3 flange cracked all the way around the merge collector. Got the turbo off and found it has completely broken off and cracked the flex pipe for the wastegate also!
Well I contacted 034 and they said to send it in and they will fix it. Looks like something is causing to much stress on that area. But I don't want to have the car down for another 3 weeks as summer is about to end. So I will have a local wled back up and go from there.

Yes sir, 3 inch flex bellow right after the dp and the dp is also attached to the spring bracket on the trans.

Sorry to hear that man... hope you get it squared away fast. However, those welds look terrible. There are many joints that have almolst no penetration. I can see why it broke. I could probably weld it up better than that, and I am a terrible welder!

Yes once I get it all back together I will definatly be making a brace for the turbo to the head. Just curious anyone have any pics they could post up to get some ideas? Yeah I have had several problems but they have been fixed them and just took a long long time. I'm not gonna bash any companys on here, but the pics speak for themselves! They should've made a new header when the first problem arised!

I used to run a brace on my old DSR manifold, but even with the brace it only lasted a month or 2. Have never found a need to use one on the full-race manifolds. You can try searching for some posts from Tom, he runs a brace on his turbos.

Even with a brace the welds can break because there are just so many different pieces of metal that can expand in different directions.

I would send the bill to 034 for the welding repair. Either that or have them send you a new manifold express mail and you send them the broken one back once you receive it as you should not have to foot the bill for the repair and the down time.

I think the courtesy SHOULD be extended not only to compensate for the downtime of the car but also to take care of a customer. I have had problems with manufactures before but the way they handled the problem made me speak highly not only of their product once I received a working part but also of their customer service.

I know this is all logical to us, but this is the fifith problem with this same header and company. I guess I'm to nice of a guy to start breaking balls over the phone and wish they would just f#ckin own up for once. I just deal through emails, because I don't have time to be on the phone. As far as fabrication skills, I will never buy another product that they make in house. Every single product they made did not fit at all. Even after it was sent back and built on and actual car IT DIDN'T FIT. I had to sublet out to another shop or someone who could fix it right. And you all are right I may need a brace on the turbo, but mind you I only have 1700miles on the car and it dosen't take a f#ckin genius to look at those welds and know that shit is horrible. Guess I should've been a dick the first time it went back and wouldn't still be having problems!!!!!!! End rantttt.

Nope just do a custom one it should cost about the same.

SPA uses 38mm.

I didn't know this was the fifth time. I would send it back and demand a full refund and go wit a Full Race from Mike because this is absolute horse s**t that a company like 034 would put you through this kind of hassle. They need to be bending over backwards to make things right with you and at this point I would return it and not deal with them again.

Only one for that would be the Full-race manifold and the good thing is that it just about puts your turbo in the exact same spot, plus it is welded by a robot welder.

take that money to full-race. have not ever seen any of their mani's look anytihing close to as bad as that.

he has already had to send this very manifold back to 034 multiple times and has had to extend his original build over a month due to this.

if this was the first time, it wouldn't be that big of a deal. this is what warranties are for. but this has crossed the line IMO

Yes its actually the tensioner (m8x1.25) that takes all the weight. It lifts the turbo up or down. Its one of the old heat sheild bosses in the head.

I'd exchange it with 034 for a SPA manifold and downpipe. The troubles you've had with that manifold are ridiculous especially considering a turbo wouldn't even fit on it the first time around.

If you had to get a rental car at 30 bucks a day for every day that manifold cost you then a full reimbursement would maybe break even.
