Dolphin Gray Paint match in rattle can?

I'm thinking of doing a DIY painting the lowers on my 02 B6, is there a rattle can that will match the Dolphin gray and has anyone done this with theirs? I know I can get factory ones but they are expensive at 23 bucks for 12oz.

You are better off removing everything and taking the pieces up to a body shop.

Re: Dolphin Gray Paint match in rattle can?

I ended up buying the paint ($170 from a real automotive paint store) and paying a friend that does body work $100 to paint my lowers

I bought some rattle can spray paint and clear from a a website. They make you enter the paint code. I'm going to paint the eyelids I got from Kirk, they are small enough pieces that I don't think it will warrant shooting from a gun. Everything, The base, clear and plastic adhesion promoter, shipped for ~$50.

Re: Dolphin Gray Paint match in rattle can?

    ^^the website i told u??

anyways bro the website is Paintscratch.com, and then u choose ur model and then ur paint code and color, now search for a thread by Shi-Fu-Jay about painting door blades, and follow his method and do it right and u should be fine, but make sure u use some bully dog promoter on them so nthe paint doesn't crack, and all this could be bought through paintscratch.com i bought ming blue pearl in a can from them and it matched real well.

Rattle can look good, its all in the prep work and the quality of the paint/clear. If you take your time and do it right it will come out JUST as good as a body shop. But if your not to good with rattle can you it will look like crap.
