stupid snub mount.

i havent serviced my car in a while due to some money problems. got some money today so i bought mobile1 with filter, k&n air filter, and some ngk coppers. pulled the belly pan off to get to the oil and i see a big piece of rubber just sitting on the belly pan. turns out my stupid apr snub mount broke in 3 pieces. any other snub mounts better than the apr one? i wanna buy a new one. no wonder why my cars been feeling sloppy.

Stern or 034 are the snub mounts to go with. The 034 snub is a bit harder then the Stern.

No you dont. It will work perfectly fine with the stock housing.

Well that is going to depend on what engine/tranny mounts your running.

pretty much stock mounts but planning on changing them out in the future.

how did you break the apr snub mount? thats kinda crazy... unless you got oil or antifreeze or something on it or you have the 034 density mounts...

Plenty of people have had the APR snub break, it is not something new.


To give you a little idea of how much of a problem it is, this was posted on 8/23/08 on the B6 forum.
