    (Ask) Best Coilover For B6.

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hello friends :) ,

Im audi owner from Indonesia (B6 - 2.0 A/T). First of All i want to upgrade my suspension into coilover kit for B6. i'll go to USA (Seattle) For Some Bussiness. I want to buy coilover kit for my B6 in USA (because it's really hard to find it in here), but i dont know which types. What's the best type that you'd recommend :

    - I want better shock reduction for My b6 (Nb: I use 20 inch rims) now with Eibach Springs.
    - Value for money ?
    - What brand you'd recommend? Tein ?

    thanks :)

SR offers Penske's for the B6/B7? I thought they just offered the tweaked Vogtland's...

How are your roads? This could be a determining factor since coilovers are going to vary in stiffness and could be horrible to drive if you frequently are driving on poor road surfaces.

I don't think the stasis street sports don't have much of a drop from the sport suspension which might be better if you have bad roads. You prolly won't get much drop if any from the springs you currently have but the ride will be much better in all ways.

Re: (Ask) Best Coilover For B6.

One pracictical definition of the best coilovers for you, is "the best (most expensive) coilover kit you can afford to buy". Whatever kit that is, you may want to use less stiff springs than the springs the kit comes with, for use on rough roads. Ask what kits offer lower rate springs as an option.

Pass, the Basic's ride is extremely rough. Go with the SS's if you want Tein

PSS9s are fantastic! Amazing handling improvement without compromise to the ride. Adjustability is easy.

Checking Bilstein's main website, the part number listed is the same for all B6 A4s regardless of engine or drivetrain. It's the same part number that's listed in the eBay ad.

If you get it here in the US, you may need to declare it when leaving the country, but I'm not sure about that. Other option would be to have the item shipped directly to where you are now (the eBay seller says they will ship worldwide).

Ok so the last post in this thread was 8-2008 its now 2016 things have changed. Anybody have any recommendations for a good affordable coilover set for A4 B6? This is my first A4 and my first mod. I have the sport suspension, but its not low enough.

If you want something a little more comfortable than the solowerks then ST or vogtlands are a good choice. They are a little more expensive though.

These PSS9's seem pretty expensive...what I am wondering is are the effects dramatically worth the price, especially in comparison to those brands that are 1/4 the price?

I'm running with Weitec, they are amazingly comfy even on horrible Asia roads but a bit soft in aggressive cornering. I'd still recommend them if the car is your DD.

And Weitec was merged into ST suspension.
