Wow even AAA gets a 500 dollar discount. I'm not a grinder but I also don't like paying full price for a car new or not.

I'd guess $1K off of sticker tops. It's a brand new body style and the first ones are just now showing up. It's the price you pay for being first.

I'm thinking a B8 around this time next year, what kind of discounts or negotiation do you think dealers would likely be doing around then?

1K sounds much better than no discount.

asked many dealers...they all say hardly any discount will be given. You will be lucky to get at invoice, but even that is pushing it according to the dealers (Downtown Audi, Beverly Hills and Van Nuys)

Re: What kind of price should I expect?

On audis theres generally ~$3k between invoice and sticker price. Theres not a whole lot of profit in there as compared to other cars. I'd say if you can get around the 1k over invoice price youre doing alright on a car that'll probably be in high demand when it comes out. $500 over invoice and youve done well, IMO.

Re: What kind of price should I expect?

Haha I wish I had 3k markup in a A4, try more like 1,500 - 2,000. No discounts will be offered on the new a4's at this time due to availability and subsequent demand for the car.
