Just moved.. to berkeley

and this is NOT the place to be having 19'' rims. I never had a more stressful time driving than now, trying to avoid all the damn potholes, random grooves, and uneven cement.

Not only that, I hate one way streets. And, theres a crap load up here.

I know how you feel. I've had my car up here since the beginning of this year. I elected to go with 18's because the streets suck.

I work in Oakland on Telegraph and I go to Berkeley pretty often for lunch and it suucckkss. My biggest gripe is that it takes like 30 minutes to find a parking spot. I've finally opted to call in my order and when I go pick it up just park in a loading zone and run in for 30 seconds. Sketchy, but it works!

I've only had bad experiences going to Berkeley, which is why my car never goes there. It's either parents car or friends car, or rental. Damn that city and damn its roads.

I bet there must've been a lot of protest prior to paving 24, some sacred indigenous ants in the area that will mess up the whole eco system if the road was repaved .... that caused 4 weeks of sit ins, hunger strikes, and feces being flung at road workers .... the only reason to make it out to Berkely these days is to maybe catch a glimpse of the hot pole vaulter Allison Stokke

I just moved to berkeley too.

I decided to keep my beater back at home. It's got 19's and is lowered. I could only imagine how much fun I'd have with that.

Be very and I mean very careful when you exit Gilman St. off of I-80, it is absolutely pitted with potholes. There's a Concrete factory there, plus a 4-way intersection that is a nightmare to negotiate around commute hours. Try to avoid that exit if at all possible, no joke . . .

Berkeley roads suck in general, especially when I was there in the late 90s.

I still go there about once every few wks but mostly on/off telegraph. It's actually not so bad especially now they patched up the part crossing 24 where it used to be pothole city USA.

Werd, late night Top Dog > * Finding any food late night in Berkeley is tough due to city ordinances.

The streets that lead to freeways (Gilman, University & Ashby) have been tore up for years. But these are streets that you should be driving slowly on anyways due to BPD presence. Same with the streets around campus above Telegraph.

I'm in Berkeley all the time, throw up a V if you see me rolling by.

Exit Buchanan for Target! You'll be spoiled by Albany city streets.
And heading to GGF isn't too bad - being on the other side of the freeway.

I'm in Berkeley for school, starting my third year. Who else is here??? I always see a silver B5 S4 parked up by memorial stadium in a covered garage, but i'm not sure if that is anyone on Audizine.

I'm there only on weekends like once a month - usually park on Durant to get food and walk over to campus to buy reference books.

I think there are few other AZ guys there too - forgot their names already, I met them a a meet last year.
