Pissed and no turbo

So I have been looking for a used K04 for some time. One comes up for sale on the B6 section of the classifieds, and I jump on it. Good price, and close to my house, arrange with seller to go out first of the week and pick it up through email. Life is good right?!?

Now it looks like the guy(how I am am being careful not to name) listed same turbo twice, once on our section, and once in B5 section, and apparently sold it twice through two sections. Now no communication through email or PM on here. Luckily I was going to give him cash when I picked it up, so not out any money, just out the turbo. Still totally irritated, and still no turbo.

sorry to hear about your loss, but did you read about this seller? AZ has a section where you can read reviews on sellers or buyers and you can leave your own experience with certain sellers so other people would be more cautious.

How much did you buy it for?

If its just a hundred or two less...might as spring for a new one....

There is no loss if you didn't pay...you may have just missed an opportunity to buy.. The K04-015 likely can work on B5/B6 so thats why the seller listed it in both sections. I'm sure he only sold it to and accepted money from 1 person. Someone probably just beat you too it.

Thats true, but the common courtesy and 10 seconds to say "Hey sorry buddy, it's sold already" might have been nice, I can agree with that...

That was the thing, I had made plans to go pick it up and things were set. Then, no communication until I found out it was sold to someone else. If he had just let me know what was going on, that would have been different. If he needed the money sooner than when I was going to pick it up, give me the chance to do that. If he had a better offer, give me a chance to counter. If my pick up time wasn't working for him, let me know. But when you think you got it, and then it's gone, that so frustrating.

I was too excited to get it since I had been looking for so long. And it was a good price, which makes it harder to loose it. Oh well, it's over now, but I still don't have a K04.

If only everyone did business like you Frank, life would be good. Thanks again for a great transaction.

Bottom line= communicate!

What exactly is a good price for a used K04? Arent new ones only $800 or so? I tried to get a new one but was told they are on intergalactic backorder, but if you can wait then someday it'll become available. If the price difference was only a few hundred dollars I'd opt for a new unit.

I thought I had made the deal for $500, and it was freshly rebuilt. I had a line on a new one from Supremepower for $785, but they just raised the price this week back to $1k. If I could find a new for under $800 now I would jump on it, but used prices around $500 would really help my budget.

Ya, maybe it is a sign to just man up and go BT. The boys at Eurocode have been trying to get me hooked up, but the coin is thin that high.
