    LED Tail Light Resistors - HOT

    Where do you people mount these hot little things?? I took a drive a 10 min. drive and they had already started to melt the plastic on the backside of the housing a little.

    They aren't inside the hosuing, but there isn't much room between the housing and the body.

    Are you using the correct resistor? I have mine heat shrink wrapped and then wrapped again in electrical tape. Overkill, sure... but no heat/melting issues.

    Go here: CLICK, they have the kit so you don't overload the LED's. Eliminates the guess work. They also have chrome "stealth" bulbs for $3.29!!!

    i am certain he is talking about the LED tails, not replacement bulbs.

    It doesn't matter, that link has the replacement receptacle kits and the inline wiring to adapt our system to LEDS. I just mentioned the replacement bulbs for my Audi friends, just in case they are about to spend $30 on a set from Stealth Bulbs, with their fancy NASA coatings...LOL

    Dude, surf the site, you will find the adaptor to equalize your circuit, so you don't heat or blow your LED's...
