worst f hose install ever...and i need your help

well anyways i got to pop of base of the F hose to replace and bam, the plastic piece that are between the base of the F and the hose that runs to the left cracks. it was in awful condition when i looked at it, completely deteriorating. (the left most yellow circle in the picture) is that just to connect the two hoses, becuase the piece of plastic has a smaller hole inside that the diameter of the hose.

also, where the middle finger of the goes to, what does that hose run to? it appears to have play in it, and i worry it maybe leaking or disconnected as well. (the right most yellow circle in the picture)

The left circle is a valve, and the right yellow circle goes to the spider hose at the back of the intake mani on the pass side of the engine.

what kind of valve? where can i get it.

i was thinking of just replacing the entire thing with the a new hose and getting rid of the "valve" and directly hooking it up to the f hose.

had the same problem but worst, I actually snapped that fitting in half taking the old hose off. called the dealership to describe the part and his reply was "whats an f-hose?" WTF went to lowes and found a metal replacement. and yes there is a lot of movement in the bottom hose makes it a bastard to get on tight.

my spider hose cracked everywhere.. good thing you can replace all the shitty brittle plastic hoses with rubber... no more problems

yea thats what happened to me, but half is stuck in the hose completely. I said FINE don't wanna come out, illl put a bigger hose on top and clamp it right over. Its like that valve thing is like a rock in there.

anyways, my home made f hose holds to 80 psi (don't ask how i know) but i still have issues. there really aren't any other leaks, but that vacuum line that goes to the T fitting that splits to DVs has a little leak of it, but i dunno. this shit is driving me crazy.

im going to replace that bad boy, and try to move from there. im tired of this crap i really am.

don't worry about it, same thing happned to me, got a piece of fuel line that fit over that valve, and cut the hose all the way at the spider hose, and like I said, just replaced the whole line with a new one with some new clamps. No need to remove the intake manifold incase your're thinking of doing that, just feed the new hose under-neeth.

same happened to me... that whole piece is 180 from the dealer, and you have to take the intake manifold off to replace it... so buy some intake manifold gaskets too! easy fix, just takes some time... it gets really hot in the valley, so it pretty much bakes the plastic and makes it brittle... good luck, and have fun

yea i really don't mind working on the car thats the fun part, its the limp mode in a fifth gear pull that pisses me off. at least now it pulls hard until fifth, and by tonight, i hope it will be all good.
