s4/a4 rear rotors and brakes

Will S4 rear rotors and brake pads work on the a4 both are b5 models. I would think so but just figured I'd ask before I pick these up from someone who owns an s4, thanks in advance ppl!

you need the calipers and carriers..then the rotors. The pads are the same.

The A4 use A4 rotors and the S4 use S4 rotors. Different sizes. What people do is upgrade the front brakes by using TT carriers with the stock A4 calipers and A8 rotors. Then place S4 calipers on the rear with S4 rotors. Nice pads all around. Cheap upgraded brake system.

ah, well I"m not to worried about upgrading as of right now......I just had a killer deal on some nice ass rear rotors and pads, I'll pic the pads up then

good rear pads are like $35 why bother to get used ones?

The S4 rear rotors are thicker and vented. The A4 rears are solid thin discs. The S4 rotor won't fit into the A4 caliper.

If you want to switch to S4 rotors you have to do it all, (calipers, rotors and carriers) as the parts are not interchangeable. You can do either B5 or B6 like I did.

You could check out this thread on AW. But you are looking at about 300mm whic can come from various cars.
Edit: the S4 rears are about as large as I could go and still retain the 16" sport wheels.
