    Silicone TBB shitty fitting...

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
pfff Just bought a silicone kit , waited a whole week for it...

placed the TBB cause mine was torn. and the following happened!

my V6 biturbo cover did not fit anymore (not such a big problem)

when I closed the hood a FU**ING bump came out of the hood! I now have a dent just above the TBB place in my hood

is this normal for it being such a difference in size?

I took it off and made some pics!

    Re: Silicone TBB shitty fitting...

hmm I bought a whole set for 350€ thinking I would be better of then bying the China/ebay stuff for 100$ (I was wrong)

as you see some cutting won't fix my problem, the difference is just to damn big!

i dont like ur clamps.... i lost two pieces to two of them because they like explode when loosened too much, which they have to be to get the dam pipes into the two holes... and couldn't figur eout the top clamp at all, so I ended up using 3 of the stock clamps...

    Re: Silicone TBB shitty fitting...

Some cutting actually WILL fix your problem. Cut down the MAP sensor holder on the TBB and it will fit under the hood.

Man that thing is a monster. If you have the money pick up an APR bi pipe. If not, then just go samco or ebay and be done with it.

silicone won't swell when it comes in contact with a petroleum product like rubber will, but if your still worried, try soapy water.

I have the chinese silicone hose kit, and the TBB is the only part I refused to use. I run a samco TBB with no issues though.

    Re: Silicone TBB shitty fitting...

i just got my autospeed tbb, it didnt fit right at first either just kept blowing off. but i ended up just clamping the hell out of it and now its good lol..

by the way i like the ach design, i wish mine would have had the little grooves. but the clamps are junk, i switched all of mine to tbolt style. also the price on the ach is bs IMO thats more than i paid for my asi kit lol

I used the chines TBB. I just used a dremel and cut down the MAP sensor holder until it was low enough to clear the hood.
