So I needed to pick up some power steering fluid for my 2000 S4 and I went to my local euro mechanic and he told me that I should use the Pentosin 7.1. I had no idea but I trusted him as I do with all my Audi stuff becuase they know Audi's inside and out there.

But now that I got back I see that everyone is saying to use the 11S synthetic stuff. I had put 7.1 in there before becuase my PS fluid leaks and I had bought a can from him before.

So... what the deal?

i wouldn't use anything but 11S.
