whats your opinion? i want to purchase one seat

for my car. this seat will be a bucket and obviously used for autoxing and what not. my feelings are that i do not need to purchase a second seat, why should i make the passenger sit in a bucket? put money aside, will my car look dumb with just one seat? if you walked up to a car and looked inside and saw it running one racing seat would you think the guy was a cheap ass? a good friend of mine is telling me that I cannot purchase just one seat. whats your thoughts?

swapping seats is easy enough that you could just use the stocker for everyday driving and put the bucket in for auto-x, spirited driving, etc. Stock seats are heavy though and the only hard/time consuming part is moving it out/in without scratching anything. Airbag resistor might complicate this though, I'm not sure.
