"Un-Official" Audizine Calendar creation thread!

OK, this has crossed many of our minds

the idea is this -- who the hell doesn't like getting a calendar that's got sweet cars and hot girls on the page for each month? and what's better than a hot girl? -- a hot girl who shares your interest in cars and is a member of our community! Maybe there are even some who could be photographed with their own car!

we have everything we need for this... there are calendar-worthy cars by the HUNDREDS on this site. and there are a TON of beautiful women (many of them with cars as beautiful as them) on here too... I think you get the idea.

the method is this -- if SOMEHOW we can pull together, all we need are 12 pictures with 12 girls - and someone to print the calendar. There are some extremely talented photographers on here as well, and I don't think that this idea is into the realm of a "pipe dream". Entries could be submitted, reviewed, and a panel of 20 or so "finalists" could be posted right here on the site for final review by the members. after voting the final photographs could then be submitted to a printer in the proper size/format and a calendar printed.

I plan to speak with the moderators about selling this through the audizine store - as I would like for as much of any potential profits as possible to go towards maintaining and expanding our community. what we have here is special, and this could be a great way to give back!

if ANYONE can help in any way -- cars, girls, cameras, friends who can print, or just ideas to further our cause, please post!

cross post this to your respective forums! lets get this thing moving, and make it happen! I know that I'd love to have pictures of my favorite audis and girls who like them just as much on my wall month after month.

i want this to be about the community and the people behind it. its just that cars and girls go together so well..

this has to be a community effort, we're talking about coordinating with people all across the country -- and maybe even in a few other countries across the pond. (and in america's hat hahaha)

SF Bay Area members, I'm available on weekends for a photoshoot...I'm a photog since senior year in HS (graduated 1992)...so PM me if you are interested, I'm willing to volunteer my time, equipment, etc.

OR...other members, if you need help with the workflow, editing, etc...I have PS CS3, Lightroom, and bunch of other helpful stuff...

So are we shooting for a 2009 calendar? The best days to shoot would be a slight overcast day, which fortunately, San Francisco usually has, so we can get a lot of great pics over here.

I agree, but I think they should be associated with the site in some way, like members girlfriends/wives should be allowed, but not just some random girl off the street.

I want to be able to hang this up in my office at work and in my kitchen...no girls please. You can find calenders with pictures of chicks anywhere, but a well put together audi calander would be more rare.

this is a cool idea...are there 12 girls on audizine? that is the real question...but if there are like multiples of 2, they could do two months of same girls, but in different backgrounds...hmmmmm...maybe that's a little too hard.

No confusion intended -- that's why i put "official" in quotes -- And I only did that because this has been talked about so many times but no centralized effort was ever made. I'm more than happy to change the title, and I'm DEFINITELY happy to hear that you guys are finally making this happen

Hell, if the AZ crew is already doing this than my work is done. I just wanted to see a calendar of member cars and possibly some members with them.

And I'm down for a work-safe calendar as well, like i said -- this thread is about ideas and getting a plan hammered out.
