I had the stock symphony radio in my B6 and had shitty reception of stations i was getting before i got my new B6. So, i decided to get an aftermarket radio so i could do the iPod integration. the kenwood KDC-MP638U radio i have is great, love the direct connect for my iPod but i need a new antenna. do you have any suggestions on antennas i should look at? thanks.

    Re: Antenna Problems

Aftermarket radios: need to order a powered antenna adapter. If you do a search I'm sure you will find the link. I had to order one for my car and it helped a lot! I think the stock radio powers that antenna and when you take that out or not left with any power to it. So a powered antenna adapter is necessary, to be wired to one of the blue wires on your harness. The wire diagram for your new radio should tell you which wire to tap into.
