    Need help with Key FOB

I had to replace my battery the other day, and as soon as I got it installed both my Key FOB's stopped working. I took to the stealership to get them to do it for free like they did last time my battery died. This time they tried to tell me the reason it stopped working is because the battery in the Key FOB died. I find it hard to believe that both Key FOBs worked 20min. prior and both stopped working conviently after the bettery died. So, now they want me to buy two batterys for the key FOBs, which I know doesn't cost that much but that isn't the point. Can someone please tell me how to reset them. I watched them last time and it had something to do with one being in the ignition and one being in the door key hole at the same time while they turned and pushed a button on one of them if i rememeber right. Anyways, didn't mean to right a book, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Need help with Key FOB

Programming remote unit (you need 2 keys)

    1. Switch ignition ON.

    2. Lock vehicle mechanically at left front door using second key. (lower the window first.)

3.Press "Open" button on first remote unit (key fob) once (to assign memory address to remote unit number one).

Note: The alarm horn will sound briefly each time the "Open" button is pressed to confirm the reception of the signal during this process.

    4. Wait six seconds after sending last signal, then press "Open" button again.

    5. Doors will now unlock (remote unit is now programmed).
