it only has the 1.8T, so i wouldnt mind trying to get a bit more power from it. i have been driving a trans am for a while now, so i am used to some beef under the hood.

but then again, i dont know much about these cars, so i dont know what some easy mods are that are good bang for the buck

i am hoping to get it all cleaned up this weekend. the swirlmarks and spiderwebbing in the paint is driving me insane. being a former detailer and still detailing on the side, i cant stand it not looking perfect

Looks nice and clean the way it is, I would just not do anything to the engine not even a chip, just keep it as a daily cruiser.

it is rather clean for an 04, but the swirls and such in the paint drive me crazy. i am going to buff it out this weekend.

First Audi rocks in my opinion I was jacked when I got mine. Tinted it at 20% the next day then planned on what I would do to it. Good luck!

i have heard alot of bad about the K&N on these cars. oil getting on the MAf and such. any truth behind it?

probably gonna get new rims/tires when these ones wear down a bit

decent mod for the price is APR 1+, $500 for software, $~335 for injectors, 100 for diverter valve, should get you from 170 hp to 235 hp. it can get cheaper if you find used injectors.

The truth is the stock airbox is better than any of the aftermarket setups. Just change out the filter with an Amsoil and call it good.

A properly oiled filter and MAF cleaner at every oil change takes care of that "mith." Nice ride, BTW. and red rocks is awesome, saw a DMB concert there some years ago.

Nice car, BTW. Just do a 1+ from APR or GIAC and some Rs4 wheels and you'll be content for a while, but dont EVER expect to get the power from your TA in the A4 without going Big $$$.
I came from the world of Z28's and Grand Nationals and am pretty bummed that, even with a BT setup, low 13's to mid 12's are all you'll ever see =(

I know some of the BT guys will flame me for this, sorry.

^there are defiantly other oil-less options out that are supposed to flow just as good or better then the k&n if you're worried about it. i think the amsoil one is oil-less despite their name lol

Damnit, why couldn't you live in Mass? Whoever detailed my car before needs to be slapped. There's swirls, spiderwebbing, and you can see lines from where they buffed it (I hope those can be removed).

Anyways, your car is pretty much my twin except it sits at a sexier height. I like it and it's definitely a good start. As everyone else will tell you (or probably has told you), a chip + injectors are good to get a bit more power out of the car without breaking the bank. Have fun meng!
