    Timing belt problem 3.0

I just change my tb and i got the following codes.

    P0025--"B" Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Retarded
    P0015--"B" Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Retarded
P0113--Intake Air Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit High
P0102--Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Low Input

At first the car was idling at 1000 and running like crap. it was sluggish with the rpms

After i erased the codes, the idle is fine. and it works perfect.

I figured I would get advice from you because i have a 3.0 A6 and most people dont so i know there are alot of 3.0 A4s. Any help would be awesome.

Its possible that you didnt have enough oil pressure to advance (or retard) the cams at first startup, the VVT is ran by oil pressure FYI. If you cleared the codes and they have not returned and the car is running correctly, I would just wait to make sure nothing returns. If the codes did come back, it is timed incorrectly. I havent personally done a 3.0, but on the 1.8, if you have everything inline when you put the tensioner in, the timing will not line up correctly. You have to start back a partial tooth on the head for the tensioner to pull it into correct timing

I agree with Shawn. (post #2)

What do you mean by 'driving dfferently'? Is the engine running smooth? Is idle smooth?

yeah it is. according to my dad, the car would be running very rough if the timing was off. I dont know if this is the case.
