Whats a good bang for your buck police scanner? Im looking for something not overly expensive. Just looking for something to listen in on more for enjoyment than to rather actually speed around town and shit. I did search and found this thread http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...olice+Scanners However It didnt help much. Im just looking for something that will find the frequency of the cops by itself is that even possible? Thanks in advance!

Thats similar to the one I have. I have it since my ex-roommate is a 911 dispatcher and instead of calling her to find out why the PO was over the house in the Helo, i could tune in....

Now is it preprogrammed for you or did u have to find out the frequencies on your own?

    Re: Police Scanner?

The one i have has a "police" button that scans all frequencies as does the one I linked. I wasn't hearing the local PD that I wanted, but rather the surrounding so I googled the town I wanted and just put it on priority and everything else comes second. I haven't used it in nearly a year, but it can be interesting if something big is going on.
