Holy piss! I'm gonna be broke!

I ordered a new turbo (kit) yesterday GT71r elim. (Thanks Greg!!) but my car is in my buddy's shop right now getting the Stage 4 clutch put in and new LWFW. So I go in and see how things are going and to see if they will be able to install my turbo in time before I go to a track event on September 6th. I'm good friends with the Audi tech there as well and he said he's open and he can easily do it in one day. But he was doing a maintainance check on my car and my motor mounts are pretty well shot. They're cracked and leaking the hydraulic fluid. So I order new ones today from 034 along with a new tranny mount (might as well). ALSO, there's a crack in the mid-muffler on my exhaust.. WTF! But the good news is... I'll be going custom 3" then (After I get my next paycheck lol!)

Its 500 miles stop and go, highway driving doesnt do much for breaking in a clutch

Correct, I have a T25 flanged GT2871R.

Break in turbos? Pull the fuel injector wires from the harness and take out the spark plugs. Crank the motor over a few times to build up oil pressure and fill the turbo oil lines and oil cavities with oil. This will 'prime' the oil system in the turbo. Then plug the fuel injectors back in and put the spark plugs back in and start the car. Let the car idle up to operating temperature and then go drive.

I could have just mailed you my old OEM motor mounts to hold you over until you have funds. They are okay and should work fine for a few thousand miles (minimum). If something like this arises in the future don't hesitate to PM or email or call me. I might have something floating around the basement or can do my best to help/direct/etc.

Not to sound like someone's father but its not a wise practice to pour all your money (disposable or not) into modifying your vehicle.

I hope you are planning out what your ultimate goals are and where you want to be with your car. Then budget accordingly and pad in some extra $$ for 'oh-shits' and/or 'recent finds' while working on the car. I planned out (as best as I could) what my ultimate goals are. Naturally things change over time but so far I'm still holding fairly true to my plan I set forth a bit over a year ago.

Well unless they dont mind running less boost and still make the same peak hp with a much wider power band. Just depends on what your looking for. It would still be better then a T28 on a 2 liter which at 19psi is going to have peak hp at 5500.
