Is there a market for AEB Motors?

I have a wrecked A4 that im looking to part out.

Its a 98 manual 1.8mtq with 144k on the clock.

Anyone know what the demand is and what i can expect for the motor? I also understand that the head is a hot item for this car. Any prices on that?

please refrain from the default tree fiddy comments ! :)

I'll give you tree fiddy tree... :)

Probably about 1500 if its in great shape, boots and all that all good and the T/B has been changed recently.. Less possibly because of the miles.

I see them for sale for about that much quite often.

eehhh you'd be lucky to get $1500. Thats more then i sold my built AEB bottom with head for.

sell the head and block seperate. its easier to sell that way. AEB heads are in high demand and in good condition can fetch $800-$900 complete.

the block will get picked up for the right price since it has 20mm wrist pins and people are always looking for a motor to build out of their car.

Definitely inspect the head for any wear that it could have. You're better off selling it seperate.
