*CEL* test-pipe-->How long till it shows?

How long before you get a CEL from installing a test-pipe? The reason I ask is Is I did the "Diode Mod" I reset my check engine light @ 146 MILES I now have 230.9 Miles still no cel.

What year are you? I dont have any diode mod or antifouler and it varies for me. Sometimes within 5 miles, and sometimes 50.

From what I was reading and the pictures...it cuts on the FRONT o2 TOWARDS THE FRONT LICENSE PLATE thats what I did.

No cel for me when I had my testpipe, I also do not get a cel for removing the SAI, got to love Unitronic tuning.... I also pass all readiness even if I clear codes...

I don't know what to tell you man, i just used two anti-foulers.

ok im not sure about the diode mod but it seems it does the same thing as adding an o2 spacer/non fouler. if you did it right you wont get a code for it ever, until your o2 sensor starts to fail.

jibberific are you sure you want to use the antifouler on the first o2? usually you want it to restrict flow on the second the way the cat would do if it was still there. just asking cause im thinking that would change the way it would see the first readings and make wrong changes to counteract... if im wrong or misunderstood you please inform me.

sorry i guess i should have been more specific.

What i did was i used a drill press to hollow one anti fouler which i screwed into a second one, making one long antifouler. This lets the sensor fit pretty snugly into that assembly. then i installed this on the secondary sensor bung to hold the secondary sensor out of the direct exhaust flow. No need to mess with the primary, as the readings for that are the same with a test pipe or catalytic converter.. It's the pre-cat sensor.

No CEL on mine, I have about 1000 miles on my APR stage 3 w/ testpipe.

Just wanted everyone to know that after 7 months of running a check engine light...I rewired the wires for O2 and (the diode mod worked)

1300 MILES no CHECK ENGINE LIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a CEL till I installed my Unitronic software then it magically disappeared =]
