oh man bud, please use the search button before posting threads like this. your going to get flamed
if you want the air sound just take out your airbox and put in a cone filter and a heat shield. if you want more sound than that theres the forge splitter (half Diverter Valve, half BOV, if you dont know the difference use the search button), running a full BOV can make the car run rich because it vents metered air.

I prefer Greddy type S. I always found those the most responsive.

Not to be a smartass, but I have never been a fan of BOV, but heres a random compilation. If I had to reccomend one it would definetley be the last one because its like a party in your engine.

X2. That way everybody knows the life of the party has just arrived.

On a serious note. I use the Forge 007P valve. It's not cheap, but it'll presumably be the last one I buy. Our cars don't like BOV's or at least BOV's that stay open during vac. and idle. It runs rich.

I hear the HKS SSQ can be ran in recirc so that we can use it. Not sure if this is true, but I'd like to see/hear it.

Turbosmart Kompact. Takes longer 2 jack up the car then 2 install. Literally 2 screws. NO THE 01'S DON'T RUN RICH WITH A BOV.

I have always found both the HKS and the Greddy more responsive than everything else. Just my personal experience here. I have run both between 4 1.8t's with no problems and not even a CEL. That is a whole other conversation that can be had just by searching. HKS/GReddy is the way to go.

Don't be a huge dick or anything. Everyone was nice but you.

OP: People tend to shy away from BOV's on our cars (yes I had a 1.8t) due to the fact that they can cause it to run rich, mess up idle, ect. Its totally your choice though. Another way to get the noise (or very similar one) is to get an aftermarket DV (Hyperboost, Stratmosphere, any work), a panel filter to replace your OEM one (ie K&N), and Swiss Cheese your air box. I promise that will get you the noise your looking for.

For the love of Richard Simmons, 01's and up aren't gonna stall, run crappy,ec,etc with a properly tuned BOV.

I've posted videos and pictures, aside from that No Diaphram, piston driven and self centering. No surge and no leaks of boost what so ever.

It is hands down the best on the market. People have netted over 20whp by switching to the Synapse unit

Not sure if you are deliberately trying to be daft here or what but it's made by Synapse Engineering. Hence my writing Synapse over and over again.

Do I like it? What do you think? Yes it's amazing it sounds nothing like any other BOV on the market. It's a simply woooooooooosh sound of air that is all.

Go back and listen to my videos and watch this

But you'd pay 150 for HKS etc.... ? Seriously I know was the first to run this on an Audi, but a few others have crossed over as well. It's simply amazing and it's dialable unlike all the others. As is their WG.

People drop $230 on Tial external wastegates all the time, why not spend the money for the same quality on both ends of the equation?
