Not sure what it is but when i drive for about 20-25 miles my car starts to make like a buzzing sound. Sounds like its coming from under my car. Its not really loud but you can hear it enough to start worrying. This just started happening. Any info will help alot. Thanks

    Re: buzzing sound

Did you install an exhaust lately. I installed mine not long ago and a bolt got loose on the cat/DP. If not like dirtybrd says, take a good look at the heat shields with a rubber mallet and gently tap. And if you say a buzzing sound, do you mean more like a humming sound. It could be a fuel filter that needs replacement before the fuel pump gives out.

+1 on fuel filter. It will get progressively louder if you let it go. It sounds like a hissing, whining noise...

    Re: buzzing sound

Recently I got a buzzing noise, but it was coming from my air conditioner. Just a suggestion.

    Re: buzzing sound

I guess more like a humming sound. But again its not very loud and it only happens after i drive for like 20-25 miles and then it will start. I have no mods to the exhaust or engine. My wife drove it a couple of days ago but she heard it as soon as she started the car, and then it went away. If it is the fuel filter what kind of $$$$$ am i looking at for parts and labor, Roughly. And as far as the A/C goes it still does it when the Air is off. Thanks again....

    Re: buzzing sound

I am having the what sounds like the same thing. Sounds like it's coming from under the back seat area. Gets worse when the car gets warm, esp. after sitting in traffic. I was guessing a fuel pump. Changing the fuel filter is a good idea. Is it in-tank, or something I can do myself?

    Re: buzzing sound

The fuel filter is located behind the rear passenger tire under a small plastic shield. Parts are about $35-$50 at ECS (gotta have the correct part #). There is a DIY here (search under fuel filter) in the B6section...it will take you about an hour or so w/ a set of jacks stands or ramps.
