QUESTION!!! Regarding my gearbox/transmission

I have a 05.5 A4 2.0T FWD TIP btw...Whenever i start the car up and put it in drive it starts off nicely then after a while as i give it more gas...it starts to jump to S and back to D and back to S and so on, on the indash lcd screen and it keeps doing that until i turn off the car and turn it back on. Why is it doing this to me!!!! And sometimes it cant read when i go into N or R.

Sounds pretty messed up. Never heard of it. Go to an audi shop and get it checked out, it'll be cheaper than the stealership. Unless you have an extended warranty?

Ever since the black plastic that hides the gearshift mechanism stuff below the knob broke I've been having issues with the display not showing what gear I'm in, and inorder to make it show up, and for tiptronic mode to work I have to slide it over, move it to - then + and slide it back to D, and it shows up on the display and allows me to go into Tip mode, so I think that might be the problem, a loose track or something in the gearshift area.
