Very strong fuel smell in garage

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I noticed a really strong fuel smell in my garage a few days ago and took my car into Audi. They did a pressure test on the fuel system and there were no leaks and nothing dripping from the car.

I have come out the last few morning and it still smells heavily of fuel, but nothing dripping.

Anyone have any ideas on what it could be?

Is it a recent development? How full or how empty is your gas tank.

off the top of my head i would say try a new fuel cap, but it could be an evap line busted as well.

I would take a close look at the injectors. Might have a bad seal o-rings or they may not be seated properly. Does the hood insulator smells like gas? Can you tell if the gas ordour is coming from the engine bay or under the rear passenger side of the car?
Do you have a CEL, if so it could be a faulty gas cap.
