Painting Filler Plate

Kinda dumb.....I bought the wrong color ( Grey) and I need a black one. What would I use to paint it matte black?

get a can of spray paint and try it.. cheap way to do it

you could get it there I'm pretty sure but yes if you want it to last you need plastic dip

Plasti-dip should be by the glue in the paint section. I love the stuff!

I have a few other questions for the people who have used this stuff.

1.) If I paint just the filler plate how close does it match the rest of the grill?
2.) Is there any type of prepping that I will need to do ie: sanding
3.) Should I paint the whole grill including the chrome trim?

The last question I did a search of if I can remove the grill without taking the bumper off. Can anyone clarify or send me a link of the easiest way to remove?

To take the grill of you need to take the bumper off...
But to take the filler plate off, you dont have to remove the bumper...Just 6 screws and you are ready to go...

1) It matches alright, not 100%, if you are worried paint the whole grill.
2) No need to prep it, just make sure it is clean and dry.
3) I did mine and like it, but that is your call.

If you search B7 front bumper removal you should be able to find atleast 3 threads about taking it off.

the matte black does NOT match the rest of the grille. gloss black does match very well. a lot of people do seem to love their matte black however.
