problem after another now my wheels shake

Well my wheels used to shake when i had my other set of rims on with wheel spacers. I thought it was wheel balance was off took it to the shop balanced it and they sed my wheels was bent. I bit the bullet and bought a set of brand new rims this time i didnt need the wheel spacers. Driving to work today my wheels start shaking at 50 mph and it only shakes at 50 55 mph any ideas whats going on here. Thanks in advance.

tires? i had a flat spot on one of mine...and that caused shaking...

Tie rods? did you check them? Also Control arms. HOw do they look?

Im gonna check them after work today. Are those the symptoms of those going bad?

Yeah, failing TRE's and CA's can give you a shimmy at certain speeds. Did you increase the diameter with the new wheels? Also worth checking is the torque on the wheel bolts and also that they are the right type for the wheel.

Yea im thinking tires too. Because when i put my stocks on they dont shake. My fenders are cutting the hell out of my tires i think thats whey its shaking cutting my threads off i need to switch back to 225 right now i have 235.

The wheels i have are 18x8 bolt pattern 5x112 32mm offset. Tires are 235/40/r18

Right, but what bolts are you using with them? Most aftermarket wheels take a cone seat bolt, but anyway, just double check the torque. Also, your 17's don't shake so you could have suspension issues that are more noticable with the larger wheels. Tires, may be an issue but I don't think they've gotten out of balance from a little rubbing, if they were balnced right in the first place.
