Pics of my B6 from the land down under

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hi all,

Been a lurker on this forum for a while now and I thought it was time to post up some pics of my B6. Have had the car now for about 18 months and she was stock standard when I got it.

So far have added a Phatbox, RS6 reps, Remus exhausts, Brushed Alum mirror covers and most recently Bilstein PSS9's. More mods to come in the future. Next up will most likely be APR Stage 1.

Have really enjoyed becoming part of the audi "family" not only on this forum but ours back in Australia, very resourceful and great people

    Here are the pics....enjoy

Re: Pics of my B6 from the land down under

Omg that is clean as all hell, cleanest dolphin i've seen. Looks REALLY good. Really nice job on that.

Oh yea - Stage 1+ is alot better over stock, dont waste your money on stage 1 its not enough. Not to say stage 1 + is "enough", since "enough" can be defined in alot of ways, but im saying like stage 1+ is really nice coming from stock power, stage 1 is just like ehhh.. its okay... stage 1+ over stage 1 is 20hp more on 93 oct. I think, which is decent, but I guess my point is dont waste your time with stage 1 cuz its not enough of an improvement to make you happy if the only big power upgrade you want is a ECU, then do 1+ and trust me if it takes an extra month to save then just do it. I have 1+ and love it. I'm not a power hungry BAT guy and I can say 1+ is decent power.

I have to ask, how are the PSS9's? Your cars drop looks about where I would want mine.

Yeah am liking them now. Initially when I had them installed they were on the 1 setting which was bone jarring on our country aussie roads. After a bit of tweaking the setup is real good. Havent really pushed it hard yet but in the few corners I have gone hard into it is just glued to the road.

Clean looking ride! Did you change the window trim to chrome, or do the 1.8T's come like that in Australia? BTW, what part of the country are you from? I can't wait to get back there.

    Cheers, Mate.

Chrome trim was like that when I bought it. AFAIK it was an option from new. I am 100kms from Melbourne in Victoria.

Very nice car. As you are learning, folks on this forum don't mind giving you their negative opinioins, but lots of positive too. Welcome to AZ, and stick around. Lots of knowledge and answers here, even if the guys bag on you once in awhile. If you like the way your car looks, that is all that matters.

I agree on jumping straight to 1+ on your APR.

Clean looking car until i got to the back of the car. Remus Exhaust might sound good but for some reason i dont like the way they look and stick out on your car. The tips have too much going and brings too much attention at a glance to the back of the car. Otherwise clean looking car. Maybe try tucking in the exhaust a little bit.

Thanks for all the comments guys, gotta take the good with the bad, everyone is entitled to their opinion

On the APR front the price is Stage 1 $1795AU and 1+ is am guessing the $1795 + the injectors which are $1100 installed so its pretty expensive.

You can install the injectors yourself, its a very easy DIY you can do it on the spot within 15 mins.Click here to see the DIY. Also, I forgot how the AU compares to the USD, but if the stuff is really alot more expensive in Australia for some reason, just come on these forums and buy some injectors here. I've seen a couple in the past few days that were a really good price.

Edit: Just did a AUD/USD conversion, yea thats pretty expensive. Thats about $1600 USD and over here we pay $1000 for 1+. Buy the injectors from someone on this forum, they'll be alot cheaper,(probly 200-350 USD range), or manguyen sells the OEM injectors that APR gives with their 1+, but for alot less (340USD).

beautiful clean B6! i wasn't really into the RS6 wheels, but seeing your wheels on a dolphin grey, i really like the look. I'm now considering RS6 over the RS4's now.

    Are they 18's or 19s?

They are 18's. The tyres on those at the time of the pics were 225/40/18's, since then I have put 235/40/18's on them which gives a bigger sidewall therefore making the rims look slightly smaller (still looks really good). So yeah I would recommend getting 225's with those rims as they look great and being more narrow than the 235 the lip on the tyre isnt as pronounced when looking side on.
