FWIW, I plan on purchasing
this video and will attempt painting myself when time comes for me. I just ordered an air compressor for something else, so that will always come in handy. There are DIY write ups everywhre on how to do side skirt installs (biketsai has a good write up for the S4 side skirts), take off bumpers and so forth. I would just attempt to place them on myself (plus there is always places like Audizine where you could always ask for assistance). Painting is a different story though. As stated, I would attempt it myself with help from that video. You never will know if you can do it properly if you never try. Could save you close to maybe 85% of that $1200 if you attempted to do it yourself. Figure that extra money is for air compressor, paint gun, paint, video, hardware for bumper/side skirts, miscalaneous things that comes along, and headaches (it will happen that accompanies learning new things. but it is all worth it when the job is done knowing that you did it, and can always do it again in the future if you wanted).
Oh, and when I get my kit I am going to do a Reiger RS4 Front, S4 or Avante Garde (if I can find them) or other ones I have looked at side skirts, and S4 rear bumper or stock a4. Simple, but my car is black. Not so flamboyant.
