So close yet so far....

mere "hours" from completion (hours of work that is)



those pictures are basically a mock up of all the parts so that i could check the clearance of everything... had to ditch the HKS filter for a cheap-o since that's all that fits, and the IC pipes will have to be SEVERELY modified lol. the good news is that its possible to fit everything in - even with the headlights in. (thank god)

still lots of shit to hook up under the IM - and a few things to remove in front of it lol. Right now my big projects are to get the thermostat in, get the PS pump hooked up/the PS cooler in, finish hooking up the vacuum lines, re-make the IC pipes, install the EBC, and finish plugging in wires...

after that more wires/lines come OUT of the car/get hidden, a few unused items will go in the trash, then i wrench a few more bolts in place and it's time to fill everything up and start the car. (after a thorough checking over, that is)

bah... im not nearly as excited now that ive listed everything i still have to do hahaha. but I'm off to wrench more... prolly gonna get the temporary IC pipes done tonight. (gonna have new 1 and 2 piece pipes done again by a buddy of mine once the car is up and running)

hahaha thanks. it's dirty as FUCK right now. I'm gonna have to take a pressure washer to the whole thing tomorrow... which means the turbo and all that crap come back out, and i have to seal off the motor. but it'll be worth it.

its just hard to see all the dirt from the pictures - you'd feel like puking if you saw it in person.

Coming home to realize a signature was required and you have to drive 30mins north to go pick it up. Then rush home to install. 10pm you get to turn the key and go romp on the car. That was excitement!

ATP T3 mani... it's a decent design, but its still a log. I'm gonna make the switch to tubular eventually, and I'll probably just keep this one as a backup for when my tube inevitably cracks one day down the road.

gracias! i should note that anyone with an automatic cannot run that same IM without some serious relocation of parts/modification... (it's a freakin SICK piece though, thanks again Issam!)

I can't remember what sits in that bracket which supports the expansion tank/ABS module.... but I remember figuring it out once and that it was something that had to do with the automatic tranny (i think).

anyways, the IM fits -- but the .:R32 TB won't fit unless I cut that bitch out.

other than that the install has been pretty straight forward.

thanks! I got pretty damn excited when I popped it on for the first time. I'd have the TB on it already but one of the guys at the shop that built my motor is borrowing it so that IC piping can get fabbed up on his GTI while he waits on his to come in from Issam hahaha.

If you have your ballast where i do go ahead and find a new place to keep it... space is gonna be tight in there. lol

I am sure there will be plenty of B6's that will be doing that soon enough since there are more then a hand full of BAT B6's being done at this time and a few already finished. Problem is going to be actually making a good amount of power seeing that the tuning for the B6's isn't up to speed for the BAT setups yet.
