    Audi symphony volume question

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Did a search and found nothing..I noticed that on the symphony radio, once it goes passed 22, it dosnt get any louder until u move it to about 30. It just is not loud enough when im rollin. I was thinkin an aftermarket head unit may change that but i was just curious if anyone else noticed this..

    Thanks

Seriously? How loud does it need to be? Check your other settings.

I'd be interested in the connections at your amp.

    Re: Audi symphony volume question

I dont think the rears would pump out any noise if the amp wasnt working. I know with subs, if one wire comes off or loose, no more noise

    Re: Audi symphony volume question

I always listen to my music loud, and I've never gone above 22. That is also while rolling down the highway doing 80, I think I might have gone over 22 once, maybe. I say there is a bad connection somewhere.

    Re: Audi symphony volume question

i never go over 24 and that's maybe because it was a bad cd that was recorded low...try pulling the radio and checking the connections back there. hopefully it could be that easy

    Re: Audi symphony volume question

Our cars have a nice radio system for listening music at a normal volume. I have a 2002 A4 and a 2004 A4, the 2002 has a weaker stereo system (both being non-bose and Symphony). I do think that both of them could/should go louder, and that hte 2002 A4 does the same as yours, that the rear speaker dont sound as loud as the front speakers; the 2004 A4 is more balanced in that sense.

I also did the deBose mod listed in the Easter Eggs thread in here, and it did get alot better in both cars.

Make sure the rear amp is putting out properly. The rear door speakers are powered by the sub amp.
