chip under gas pedal

i was at friends performance shop, and he was telling me about this chip that goes under the gas pedal on a fb wire throtle and it will give you a better response time of the throtle......has anuone heard of this????

Never heard of such a thing and there is no computer in the gas pedal, basically its just a dimmer switch. Tuners can tweak the chip in the ECu to give more throttle for how much the pedal is pushed down. My drag K03 chip was setup to have 100% throttle at just 25% pedal, that was way back in 2001 that I ran that chip.

I've actualy heard of / seen the gass pedal "chip", basicaly it makes the throttle engage faster by faking the gas pedal sensor to act like its being pushed more than it is

it wasn't cheap, I'd say just get a real chip made for the car

The new Turbo magazine features it. I can't think of what it is called though. It has four levels that progressively ramp up the throttle rate. It is a little box that installs in the wiring between the gas pedal and the rest of the electronics. It has a little control head that looks like a turbo timer and has the four settings ranging from economy to aggressive.
