Idle drop after coming to a stop

So after driving a few miles and coming to a red light, my RPMs drop from 1000 to 900 and then come back up.

Possible vacuum leak?

my 04 1.8tq idles at 800 when at a complete stop. only time it idles higher is when i first turn it on, it idles at 1200 for 1-2 minutes, then after the engine warms up it drops down to 800.

sounds like you might have a vacuum leak.

I have the same problem man. I also get a temperary drop any time the front end of the car gets loaded up, ie heavy braking, or going of a speed bump.... i can't figure it out :(

Try cleaning the throttle body and doing a TB adaptation.

used to happen to me and it was a faulty maf.... but mine would drop real low and almost stall.... at first it started with like 100 rpm's then to almost staling.

Had the throttle body cleaned a while back so I don't think that's it. When the RPMs drop there is a not normal vibration from the engine.
