Nice rides Kirath, but I'm a little disappointed.

It was actually a test I was doing. I was using a D80. But the lens I was using was about 25 years old. I found one of my old Nikor lenses. A 50mm 1.4 fixed ap.

I wanted to see how it would function on the D80. No auto features, no light meter, etc. So I just took a few quick pics with it trying a couple different adjustments. It was very difficult to focus properly. The lens needs to be cleaned if I'm going to use it. But it worked and the pics did not come out to bad I think.

I have a 70-300 2.8 VR I use as my general purpose lens. But not on this little shoot.

i figured it was a fixed focus, i gotta stop being lazy and pick one of those up asap, they always make for great picts with tons of DOF

i have a fixed 50mm F1.8. That thing sure does earn it's name as "nifty fifty", however it sucks for group shots if you have a bunch of point n shoot guys or folks with adjustable zooms... imagine taking a wedding group shot, then another person gets in the pic. move back, adjust, then another person pops in... then a bunch of people with wider angle lenses walk right in front of you and start taking pics, followed by others.... what a pain.
