Which way is it supposed to face? When I took it out it just lifted right out and now nomatter what position it put it in it seems way too big for the top part to close.

I believe the portion the sits on the ground is facing out and at furthest away from you. The handle goes on top and behind really tight. You have to force the handle. Then it slides in.

I spent 20 mins as well trying to get it in and all of a sudden it just clicks into place. I had checked the A8's for refrence but it's placed differently. It should be noted however that it's box is not only bigger but there's a little diagram on the bottom showing you how it's supposed to go (so that's why it costs 3x as much).

I'll tell you, I'd hate to have to get in my car and drive after getting my hands all dirty/greasy from working with that thing + a flat tire. Moist towel wipes are a must.

had that problem... fuckin dirt and grime all over my interior... it was snowing outside and big piles of snow on the shoulder of the highway where I changed the tire... I didn't expect it to have to change a tire so I had no gloves or coat. shitty day.

Haha, well, with the handle sticking out may not be the factory placement, but it fits, the cover closes, and the trunk floor seats with no bumps, so it's good enough for me!

Ironically, just hours after posting the picture, I got a flat and had to bust it out...

I swear, if I get a flat in the city, I'm calling AoA Roadside. No way am I even going to attempt to use that thing after the horror stories I've heard here. I will have them flat bed it to my house and I'll use my floor jack!

Heh. I was just around the corner from my house, so I just pulled in to my spot. I was kind of worried though cause I had trouble getting the spare on, I had to force it pretty hard, and was rocking the car side to side a bit.

the stock jack is crap, but as long as you position it correctly you SHOULD be fine. Make sure to put the hand brake up, my friend learned the hard way.
