difference is that in S mode ur car holds gears longer and responds to gas input by downshifting much quicker. fun to use but not in traffic and ur MPG gets owned.

^^i can test that myslf i weiht 220lbs haha. i want a C350 with the badass two tone interior. but i'd probably get a B6 S4 instead, the styling of my car is A+++++. Don't get me wrong i love benzes like no other, but Audi's are just about right there.

lol the sterotype of benz's are electrical nightmare's aparently will never go away, older benz's omg yes put a bullet through the ****** and call it done, but the newer ones the wiring diagrams are very good, everything communicates via can, and its rather simple once you understand it. and as far as the cars go most are made in germany, but the R,ML,GL are made in good ol alabama, parts come from germany however. oh and get off your high horse about the 7g-tronic transmission, it too has a comfort and sport mode in case you forgot that button is on the lower control panel on the dash labeled C/S, and lately have not been a big fan of them seems the last few we took apart because of harsh shift to replace the springs in the B1 clutch pack had burnt and warped clutch discs that required the whole trans to be changed out.

I can sit on a Hummer's window frame all day long, doesn't make me find it more attractive. Got to love nonsensical marketing strategies... reason they market that is because the doors are very light and light doors arent sturdy, and most heavy doors start to sag after several years, and with this 300lb thingy the doors won't sag no matter what stress u give it, did u know it has near perfect weight balance, hence why the engine was pushed further back. They had a meeting about how many mm they wanted each button on the dash to travel when pushed in.

I think think the more expensive models of Benz are nice, but the entry level models they offer are AWFUL. The new C-Class has the worst interior I've seen recently. The Camry and Accord have nicer interiors than the new C. I saw a new CL though and it looked pretty nice. They are way overpriced too for not being a class leader anymore. Mercedes doesn't hold control of any market segment as far as I know, Audi and BMW have taken over in recent years, not to mention MB still charges way too much for their cars.

^^correction, Lexus sells the most followed by Mercedes, and sales have gone down for all manufacturers but mercedes claims it is still up there. I liked the new C-classes interior not as nice as my Audi's in terms of detail, but it wasn't bad.

Kirk can you explain why Mercedes Loose their damn value so bad so fast. For example my S600 was brand new with a sticker price of $140,00. In less then 4 yrs i bought the car for $40,000 and the car had only 50k thats all. It amazes me how much value they loose especially the very expensive ones. But no matter what i love my Mercedes now doubt about it.
