Too much power for the tranny?
Well I am pretty sure I have a defective pressure plate. My FE SS is at-least twice harder to engage then yours and my buddy just got the same southbend clutch and it is also the same as yours. We won't know till we take it out and send it to SB. As a result of using this clutch for the past year I have basically screwed my tranny every time I have ever launched the car. I have launched this car very rarely and I have never had trouble launching with my stock clutch or any other car I have driven.
Symptoms: Sounds like a bunch of bolts rattling around the tranny. At idle it makes a knocking sound around the tranny and goes away when I push in the clutch. All gears engage properly but on very rare occasions I have trouble getting it in 5th and 1st.
On a possibly unrelated note, my speed sensor (speedometer,cc) stopped working this week, should be a quick fix.

I don't know how much all that will cost. I know that I can get a b6 tranny with 6-month warranty for about $1200 and a b5 tranny for around $350-$900. Anybody have any other prices for me?
