Has anyone here done the stud conversion over using aftermarket lug bolts for aftermarket wheels? How is this accomplished? are the studs just threaded into the hub? and how safe is it to run? thanks a lot

Wasn't there a thread about this like a week ago?

Much easier if your using spacers or change wheels often, I just bought a set last week, going on once the rimes come in.

I've got a new kit from Stasis. Never been used. 14x1.5mm with tapered seats for aftermarket wheels. PM me for pics and details.

Just thread them into the hub, use a little high temp loctite thread locker. Put the wheel on, tighten down the nuts and you're done.

I run 10 and 20mm spacers on front and back of my car. I use OEM wheels, but having a stud conversion has been so much better and easier than lugs, and I feel better running the bigger spacers.

Re: stud conversion vs lug bolts

    n00b question here...

I have multiple sets of wheels and they are all ball seat but the Invidias I have have a extra large ball seat (Porsche size I think) compared to the standard aftermarket bolts.

So where would I get an extra large set of nuts to if did the stud conversion?
