    ok so i had a thought of runing an intake under our head light and was gana build a tempel our of pvc and maybe see if a shop can bend some aluminum or somthin to make me the intake pipe or buy bent hoses and the buy straight pipes and build it let me know what u think

    I think it would be good
    The further away from the turbo's heat, the cooler the IAT.

    just place it at the stock location, and use a heat shield. IAT's is not a problem at all.

    it doesn't matter if you have a K03. trust me.

    what do you think will happen when that air gets into the turbo (already super hot) and then gets compressed? (compression = heat)

    you can worry about pre-turbo intake temps when you're grasping at straws for every fraction of a HP that you can make on your BAT, until then it's not worth it.


    now that is NOT to say that it isn't a good idea - I'm turning a spare headlight into an intake myself.. I've done lots of reading on the subject and I want to give a few things a try to see if there are any real benefits (won't get into that here) I'm just saying that if you're really concerned you should just get or make a heat shield and keep your stock box.

    It's been done on a B5 with a guy from my local audi group. It's for sure do able.

    True. The K03's not going to matter.
