headlight troubles - need your help

So problem number 60 with my S4 is my headlights. Lately they've been "flickering" or changing brightness suddenly...usually closely followed by the right light shutting off. The corner lights and brights still work, but not the main lights. I took the lenses off and found this horrorshow. Obviously there are no mountings on the lower arm, but aside from that I have no idea what apparently a blind 6 year-old did. Any advice on the flickering and cutting out, as well as info on how to make this mess right, will be MUCH appreciated!

It's wired for ecode city lights. That won't affect your flickering problem swap the bulbs then ballasts. Reconnect the spliced wire if you want, it will light your parking lamps on the corners when on

found a mouse nest in my engine bay during turbo install. check for rodents
