sounds like a coilpack??? after a TIP replacement...

I just replaced my stock TIP that blows near the turbo with the APR's one. By the way, that one miss one hole and the hole for PCV is too tight!!! It needs to be "dremelled". The installation was easy, I replace everything a the good place. I started the car and everything was correct. I ran the car for 5 miles and it started to feel like a bad coilpack. I just replace one a month ago. The CEL glowed at the same time and it flashed a couple times but not all the time. I think it's a second coilpack failure but does something I made wrong with my TIP change could do a similar problem???

probably a coilpack. try to eliminate that problem first and see if its still happening

Sorry to threadjack kinda, is the TIP the one on the back side of the MAF ? How do you like your APR TIP I've heard it only increases power like 5hp but it feels like 15hp, and people really like it.

I'm not sure it increase power, it's just a strong replacement but I did'nt really had time to try it becuse my coilpack failure!!!

In fact it was a coilpack!!! Dealership replace 3 of them under warrante this afternoon!!
