The RS5 is in the S5 body but has a front bumper like the A3 clubsport and the motor has a dual throttle body like the 5.2 V10 S6. It is a test mule so nothing cool on the body besides the front bumper is cool. The V10 R8 Spider is flat black and hella sick!

Tyson, I don't think they are truly doubting you, I think they seriously just want to see pics and are trying to motivate you. I can understand that.

Sorry no pics from me either (I had to practically sign a non-disclosure statement just to get a peek) but I will say seeing these in cars in person was something else! There was a swarm of young engineers in street clothes all deep into the engine bays of the V12 Q7 and RSTT...all of them speaking German. Holy crap, the Q7 has 750 pound feet of torque and sounds insane! Oh, the it's got the biggest front callipers of any street vehicle I've ever seen...at least 12 inches long and giant ceramic discs.

The flat black R10 was something to behold though, I'm not a particular fan of the R8 body style, but this thing looks completely stealth...awesome.

The RS5 mule looked quite pedestrian other than the even larger than normal "big mouth bass" front grill and out-of-place CB antenna.

I'm not into TT's so I didn't pay any attention to the RSTT so no details, sorry guys.

Thanks again for the heads up T and I'll see you next week when you have your RS set up.

I would love to see that engine in the S4. Can you please tell me if the RS5 and TT are manual. If there not im never going to buy one.

Can I get a witness! Ok how about me. I got yo back Ty. He ain't lying people! I went down there today although the TT and Q7 were gone :( After I punched tyson in the face for not getting a hold of me earlier as I was off all day today... I got to peek at the rs5 Mule and the "murdered out" r8/r10? spyder, convertible, drop top whatev. There was also a completely uncovered r8 with the new 10cyl. Only got to see the spyder with half the cover off but it looked amazing in the flat black! SHould be a color option! Tyson was in love with the headlights no doubt. They were a pretty sick concept I must say. Back window had the darkest tint I think I've ever seen. In fact it might have been painted black because you couldn't see anything! Same with the completely uncovered r8. Completely black rear window. The one weird thing was the cowboy hat on the passenger head rest in the spyder... Germans or Cowboys testing these things? rs5 was just an s5 with the new rs5 "test" motor and a big funky grill and a humungous 3 foot tall taped on antenna. No widebody goodness so don't worry you didn't miss much. Couldn't get the hood popped but I heard the motor looked amazing. All in all it was still cool to check em out. Can't wait to see the production models!

The TT-R info i have say that the engine will be a ± 230 kW 2.3-2.5 litre "VR5" TFSI engine and "NOT" a inline 5 engine.
A inline 5 is longer then a VR6 engine and will not fit with a Quattro gearbox.
That's why they choose the staggered 5 cylinder engine, it's as short and compact as a 4-pot and weigh not that much more.
The US FWD VW inline five is placed as far to the left as possible to get it in, and they have adjust the length of the driveshafts to do so.

Further the TT-R testmule sound like a VR5 too.
